Simple Tips

Below are a few simple tips for use with the Write-on for iPod Touch

  1. NEVER turn the unit off.
  2. Always enter at least two letters of the abbreviation before attempting to locate the item in the Selection Window. This will ensure that the item you are looking for is in the list.
  3. Avoid trying use the group function to locate an item. Instead, type three or four letters of the item you wish to locate and use the Find button instead.
  4. ONLY use the group function to inform customers on the items available in the group, or if you expect multiple items to be ordered from the group (when taking desserts order, for example.)
  5. DON’T PANIC. If you don’t know the abbreviation and can’t find the item, use the “pending” item feature to record the ordered item.
  6. ALWAYS leave the handheld charging at the end of your shift.
